Russian Twist using Light Weights Dumbells
An excellent abdominal exercise to improve your golf swing is the Russian Twist using light weights dumbells. You can choose to use dumbell weights during this exercise, but if you’ve never done this before, do not use a dumbbell, even if it’s very light. You want to get the form perfected before adding a light weight dumbbell to this exercise.
• Sit on the floor with your feet flat and your knees bent
• Grab a dumbbell weight and hold it with both hands
• Hold the dumbbell straight out in front of your chest
• Lean back so your torso is at a 45 degree angle relative to the floor. This will be hard when you’re holding the dumbbell weight!
• Now, while holding the light weight dumbbell in front of your chest, twist your torso slowly to the right, then twist to the opposite side

• If you’re just starting off, do not use a dumbbell or any weights.
• Always keep the dumbbell in front of your chest. Do not twist the dumbbells with your arms.
• As you get stronger, use a heavier dumbbell weight.
