Reebok Dumbbell: Aerobic Dumbbells are Fine, But Watch Out for Their Chrome Dumbbells!
Reebok are known for their shoes and athletic apparel, but they also have their own set of home exercise equipment. You might find the foam Reebok dumbbell set or the chrome dumbbell weight sets at your local fitness equipment retailer.
The Reebok foam dumbbells weight in at 1lb each and they’re mainly used to add upper body resistance to aerobic exercises. The Reebok chrome dumbbell set weigh between 2-50lbs and they’re built for strength training.
However, in 2004, the Reebok chrome dumbbells were recalled because the weight ended up falling off the handles and hitting the users. There have been cases of bruising, a broken nose and even a broken toe from these dumbbells.
If you’re looking for dumbbells for resistance training, it’s best to avoid the Reebok chrome dumbbells and go with a reputable brand such as the Bowflex or Powerblock dumbbells.
