Nautilus Selecttech Dumbbells

The nautilus selecttech dumbbells are a selectorized dumbbell system that allows you to adjust the weight by simply turning dial. The weight ranges from 5-52.5lbs for each dumbbell, and they’re geared towards those who just want to add free weight, resistance training to their workouts. They’re quick change adjustable dumbbells and replaces an entire rack of traditional fixed weight dumbbells.

Also known as “Bowflex dumbbells”, Nautilus spent two years developing the technology behind the SelectTech dumbbells. Unlike the popular Powerblock dumbbells that use a pin set to adjust the weight, the Bowflex adjustable dumbbells work on a dial-a-weight system. The handles on the Bowflex selectech dumbbells are ergonomic so they fit into your hands nicely. The biggest downfall of the handles is that they’re very long. They’re long because the handle needs to be able to accommodate the wide range of weights used on this adjustable dumbbell set. So at 5lbs, the length of the dumbbell will be as long as if it were set to 52.5lb. This may feel awkward for some dumbbell exercises.
