Dumbbell Pullovers
Dumbbell pullovers are an exercise that develops your chest, back (lats), and triceps. Arnold Schwarzenegger used to use this exercise to expand his ribcage, but the verdict is still out on whether this is actually possible. In any case, the pullovers are a great exercise to build your upper body.
As with any dumbbell exercises, start off with a light weight and focus on the exercise technique first and then gradually increase the weight of the dumbbell.
To perform the pullovers with dumbbells, lie on a bench and hold a dumbbell with both hands. The palms of your hands should be pressed against the inside of the weight plates on the dumbbell. While keeping your elbows bent, slowly lower the dumbbells until the dumbbell is behind your head, and then slowly raise it back up.
This exercise can also be done with other equipment. Barbell pullovers and machine pullovers can be used in place of dumbbells.
