Dial Dumbbells
Dial dumbbells are adjustable dumbbells where you can easily change the weight simply by turning a knob. The weight doesn’t take long to change, and it’s very intuitive to adjust the weight. The most popular dial dumbbells are Probell, the Versabell, and the Nautilus Bowflex SelectTech dumbbells.
Although the dial based quick change dumbbells are easy to use, the drawback is that the weight on these types of dumbbells are limited. Usually this type of quick change dumbbells has a maximum fixed weight, and there are no upgrade kits for them. To someone who is a strength athlete, bodybuilder, or just plain physically strong, a pin based Powerblock dumbbells or even the IronMaster dumbbells would be more suitable.
In summary, the dial based dumbbells are great for those who want to add weight training to their workout regiment and are not looking to build massive size or strength.
