Arm dumbell exercise - The dumbell is among the best tools in the weight room that you can use to fully develop your arm muscles. Because they are free weights, the number of dumbell arm workouts you can do is much greater than using an exercise machine or even a barbell. Here are some of the basic arm exercises that are essential in any workout regiment:

Biceps

Dumbell Curl

This exercise can be performed seated or standing, and can be done in an alternating fashion or curling with both arms at the same time. There are generally three ways to curl the dumbbells:

1) Start with your palms facing together, and gradually rotating your hands so your thumbs point towards the outside during the curl.
2) Hammer curl-your palms will be facing each other while curling the dumbbells
3) The starting position of your hands will be fully supinated (thumbs will be pointed towards the outside of your body)

Triceps

Dumbbell Triceps Extension (Lying and Seated)

This dumbell exercise can be performed lying down on a bench or while seated. The seated version is usually performed with one dumbbell.

One Arm Overhead Triceps Extension

Triceps Kickbacks
