35 lb Hexagon Solid Dumbbell Weight compared to Powerblock Dumbbells

If you take a look at the left picture, you’ll see a comparison between a 35 lb hexagon solid dumbbell weight, two other fixed weight dumbbells, Bowflex SelectTech, an adjustable dumbbell based on a collar system, and the Powerblock dumbbells. They’re all 35 pound dumbbell weight sets, but as you can see, the Powerblock dumbbells are the most compact of the bunch.

The Bowflex SelectTech and the adjustable dumbbell (with the Olympic plates) have handles that are a fixed length. If you use 5lbs or 35lbs, or any other weight, the length of the dumbbells is fixed. This could end up getting in the way when you use them during your workouts

The hex and other fixed weight dumbbells are just a little bit longer than the powerblocks. However, due to the fact that they’re not adjustable, multiple dumbbells will cost a lot and take up space.

Just from the picture alone, it’s easy to see why the Powerblock dumbbells are the best adjustable dumbbells around.
